We are supporting the transition of the educational programs we have been supporting named “MISIÓN DE NUESTRA SEÑORA DE LA ESPERANZA”. Mother Mariana, the foundress of these amazing works, will be retiring and an organization named Las Alitas will take on the challenge to continue the work there in Juarez. The organization is US based and has multiple ministries of which Las Alitas is the one in Juarez. See their website page:
https://thelordsranchcommunity.wordpress.com/las-alitas/.

They will be doing so much more in Juarez beginning this fall with the help of Miguel Pro Mission.

(Mujeres Tonantzin)

POSADA DECEMBER 13, 2019 (blurry).jpg

The previous efforts we supported with the Tonantzin Sisters (Petra, Angeles Cecilia) were to build homes as needed and to encourage families to keep their kids in school through high school or college if at all possible. Sister Petra, who was the expert directing adobe home building, recently had surgery for a joint replacement and the building efforts stopped for quite some time. She is back in Juarez now where she has worked for many years. Sisters Angeles and Cecilia continue to meet with families in four different regions of Ciudad Juarez with focus on continued education of 79 students by providing financial assistance to families if any financial stress interferes with that goal. With funding from Miguel Pro Mission, the sisters now also provide materials for home repairs and help aged women and single mothers (20 of them) as well. Sister Cecilia and a new assistant have been preparing superb accounting reports for all of the programs for which we provide support.
